Objetives of the Project
The Open For Business project aims:
- To facilitate workers engagement in decision- making to adapt to the changes in the organisation of new forms of work: job sharing, employee sharing, ICT-based work, platform works, remote work.
- To raise awareness and contribute to the better application of EU legislation (set of Directives) on employee participation, in the commerce sector.
- To promote the transnational exchange of information, peer-learning and transfer of knowledge, experiences and good practices among EU social partners to involve workers in the anticipation and the management of the change with regard to the new forms of work in the commerce sector.
- To enhance the joint work aimed at development of evidence-based recommendations for Employee Participation Scenarios, etc.
Activities:
1) Research and analysis: New forms of work in the commerce sector and challenges for worker participation. Results of the study in Spain: National Report Spain
2) International Labour Meeting in Spain. They discussed preliminary research findings and recommendations, country-specific recommendations, international best practices and the benefits of worker participation in the commerce sector. Final publication of the European Manual of Employees Participation in the commerce sector in Europe on new forms of work: Good practices in the commerce sector.
3) Worker participation model: European Scenarios Employees
4) Virtual workshops, in which new forms of work organization have been analyzed: job sharing, ICT-based work, remote work, work through platforms. Participants received training based on the Handbook and also worked on "Employee participation scenarios".
5) Final Conference in Italy: This event presents the project results, transnational best practices and country-specific analysis with representatives of the different stakeholders.
