PACT FOR SKILLS

The Independent Trade Union Confederation- Fetico has joined the "European Pact for Skills", an initiative of the European Commission to identify and promote those skills that will be needed in different sectors of the economy, ensuring that workers can adapt to these requirements.

The Pact aims to support public and private organizations with upskilling and reskilling, so they can thrive through the green and digital transition.

Through the Pact for Skills, the European Commission wants to bring together public and private organizations: companies from all sectors, workers, public employment services, social partners, training institutions and national and regional authorities across Europe.

All members of the Pact sign up to the Charter and agree to uphold its four key principles:

• Promoting a culture of lifelong learning for all.
• Building strong skill partnerships.
• Monitoring skill supply/demand and anticipating skill needs.
• Working against discrimination, gender equality and equal opportunities.

By joining the Pact for Skills, FETICO continues to build alliances and join forces at European level to promote the continuous adaptation of workers to changes in the labor market.
